You own Couples Retreat!
Located Quite Literally... Across the Golden Gate Bridge, through the tunnel, and down the hill: Mill Valley, nestled in the woods below Mount Tamalpais, is just minutes away from San Francisco. A short drive further north takes you to the California Wine Country of Napa and Sonoma County.
We suggest transforming your Gottman Couples Workshop into a Couples Retreat!
Mill Valley, California
Originally home to tribes of the Miwok Indians, the coastal fog - typically burning off by late morning - makes the climate perfect for tall and historic groves of the famous California Redwoods. Mill Valley lies at the base of Mt. Tam, sharing its geography with Richardson Bay, an ecologically rich arm of the greater San Francisco Bay.

The Gold Gate National Recreation Area is located from the Marin Headlands, running north along the California coast. It has the distinction of being the World’s Largest Urban Park! It includes the Muir Woods National Monument, which John Muir called... “The best tree-lovers monument that could possibly be found in all the forests of the world!”
In the middle of the SF Bay is Angel Island. With guided tours provided by California State Park Rangers, it also features easy to moderate hikes with outstanding views. Angel Island is accessible via the Tiburon Ferry and makes for a fun day trip. Terrific views of the Bay. Walk or bike the island. Guided Tram tours are also available.
